Town Hall Meeting in East Pasco 3/8/18

Stomp Out Stigma

The Law Offices of Lucas|Magazine are very excited as we partner with Pasco County Alliance for Substance Abuse Prevention (ASAP). We invite you to participate in an open community discussion regarding overdose prevention and education about Narcan. Through education about Narcan in our community of East Pasco we believe we can avoid further opiate overdoses. Partner Jim Magazine will be present and will give an opening to the evening. Please join us on Thursday, March 8th from 6:00 – 8:00 PM as our panel discusses overdose prevention and actions available. Our panel will consist of local community members, who will discuss concerns as well as take questions of how the availability of Narcan within our community can help save lives. Our moderator will be Judge Shawn Crane for the evening. Panelists will include Captain Michael Jenkins and Corporal Sherryl Johnson from the Pasco Sheriff’s Office, Pharmacist Szilvia Salmon, Cesar Rodrigues from the Recovery Community, and Lisa Conca a mother of a child who struggles with opioid addiction.

Use Narcan

Included in our town hall meeting will be a vendor fair with community partners present sharing their different services, programs and offerings to East Pasco for Opioid overdose prevention and treatment. Through a very generous donation from the Recovery Epicenter Foundation participants will be offered the opportunity to take home free Narcan. This is a prescription which helps save lives of those experiencing an overdose from opioids. The struggle is being able to quickly access Narcan in a time of need.

Show More Support

Some of us have personally experienced the devastation of the opioid epidemics within our families. The negligence in the failure to properly report the peak in drugs has left communities in an outburst from opioids. The Law Offices of Lucas|Magazine is committed to advocating for all communities to help restore justice.
